Privacy Policy
Overview
TrAIner is an exercise form coach. The app is designed to keep your videos and analyses on your device. We do not operate a user account system, and we do not store your workout history on our servers.
Information on your device
Recordings, pose analyses, and settings are stored locally. Deleting a recording in the app, or removing the app, removes that local data.
Camera and microphone
TrAIner uses the camera to record short training clips and may record audio with those clips for playback. Video and audio stay on your device for analysis and review.
On-device analysis
Form analysis runs on your device using Apple Vision (and, where available, on-device language models). Analysis derives joint positions and angles from your clip. The recording itself is not uploaded for the default on-device path.
Optional cloud analysis
If you enable Analyze with AI, the app may send derived pose and movement metrics — or an 8-second clip you choose — so a language model can produce coaching notes. Cloud analysis is off by default and can be turned off at any time.
Exercise catalogue
The app may download an exercise catalogue and related images so the library stays up to date. Those requests do not include your recordings or personal profile.
Health data
If you enable Health import, TrAIner may read sex, height, and weight from Apple Health to improve feedback context. Health data is used on device and is not written back. You can revoke access in system settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google. We receive entitlement status needed to unlock paid features; we do not receive your full payment card details.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Optional cloud analysis is processed only to return coaching results to your device and is not used to build advertising profiles.
Your choices
You can keep analysis fully on device, disable cloud analysis, revoke camera, microphone, or Health permissions, and delete local recordings at any time.
